Data to Insight is not a software supplier in the traditional sense -- we're here to help local authority (LA) colleagues get work done and share it with each other. The best thing about Data to Insight is the community of analysts who are doing and sharing great work through this network.
We recognise that different LAs want different levels of engagement with our work. As such, we offer four key collaboration approaches to suit different users’ information needs.
National Voice for Excellence in Safeguarding Tech
Are you interested in how technology can support social work practice and how the systems that you are using can be shaped to reflect changes in practice and policy such as family help and children in care initiatives? Do you want to think creatively about how co-production with children and families can be supported by technology?
If the answer is yes, then you will want to join NVEST - National Voice for Excellence in Safeguarding Tech. The group is open to all local authorities in England, Wales & Scotland, regardless of the case management system you are using. Group membership is encouraged from leaders across practice, system development and performance and reporting.
The top priority of NVEST is to support the improvement of recording practice in children’s services. This will ensure a child’s journey is documented in a way that is helps them understand what has happened to them and is useful to others who need to use the information. This transformation will happen when social workers have recording tools that they want to use.
NVEST offers you:
-
A network of local authorities who can work together and pool ideas and resources
-
A forum where we share new developments, research and innovations
-
A forum for central government, IT suppliers and others to consult with and a way to contribute to wider discussions, policy debates and initiatives
Co-designed with Data to Insight, the LA-owned service for CSC data professionals, NVEST is chaired by Essex County Council with the assistance of independent consultants Ida Cohen and Pippa Barker, who have a background in children’s services leadership and CMS development and implementation. Funding is provided by Data to Insight.
